Ouch...







This was extremely difficult for me for some reason and took way too long. I got really frustrated...and I think some of my pics. show that...haha...they're really horrible. I think I need to practice a little more with this and watercolors.

I actually really like these. Watercolors without lines are hard to get used to, speaking from experience. Your use of texture and skill with some of the smaller details on the face are particularly nice. Maybe it would be easier to practice more in ink/b&w like you did in the second set.

Now I want to try mine in watercolors too. Hmm.

yeah watercolor was pretty challenging to use.. I think use less water and better paper? I used the same medium so i know what you mean by frustration haha.

Watercolors are tough! Practice definitely helps. But I don't think these are horrible--on the contrary, the boy's face and the horse are pretty darn nice!

I think the portrait of the boy is my favorite. Thats the best one to me.
