baaah, i know this is kinda late, but I'm just totally clueless about what to do for the final...so i was avoiding it. :( anyway, i know i need to keep it simple because of time! without further ado: list!
Okay, so do you have any vague ideas about your proposal? I made a post further down with a list of ideas for people...Sometimes when you're having a hard time coming up with something on your own, basing your project in part on something existing helps (like a favorite band or mythological story or culture) You have a lot of things on your list that seem to do with location--like rocks/temples/nature/archeology, maybe you should do images that focus on location? Like scenes from a cultural myth, or a page of 5 unusual location designs (focusing on the different moods and decor of each place) and a finalized page of a character(or characters) interacting with it? It doesn't have to be either of these, maybe checking out the list I made would help?
The technical stuff: Each week you are required to post your weekly sketchbook here--they should be uploaded before class each week. (remember, when you're scanning and posting to the blog, sketches should probably be 72 dpi and in Grayscale or RGB. Finals for printing should be scanned at 300 dpi.)
I encourage you to comment on each other's work and post any other projects or doodles you'd like to share or would like input on--this can include progress on class assignments, experiments, or links of interest you think the class would enjoy. This blog is to encourage you to help each other out, get ideas flowing, and see what everyone is up to! Have fun with it!
I'll be posting something myself each week, so stay tuned!
