I have no idea how to use Adobe Illustrator so while I scanned in my blog assignments, I figured since this computer already has Illustrator, why not do this week's blog homework? My experience was very frustrating. I thought my knowledge of Photoshop would just transfer over to Illustrator, but the only tools I knew how to use were the brush, eraser, and paint bucket tool. And what is it with the shapes and selections? I had so many pop ups telling me to convert the selective so I could "live paint" or whatever. The Adobe Illustrator demo would have been SO helpful. I regret that class was cancelled today. :(
The technical stuff: Each week you are required to post your weekly sketchbook here--they should be uploaded before class each week. (remember, when you're scanning and posting to the blog, sketches should probably be 72 dpi and in Grayscale or RGB. Finals for printing should be scanned at 300 dpi.)
I encourage you to comment on each other's work and post any other projects or doodles you'd like to share or would like input on--this can include progress on class assignments, experiments, or links of interest you think the class would enjoy. This blog is to encourage you to help each other out, get ideas flowing, and see what everyone is up to! Have fun with it!
I'll be posting something myself each week, so stay tuned!

Hey, no worries! We'll still have the demo in class next week! This is just supposed to get you to dip your feet in. :)
I feel you! Illustrator is evil! But the demo will be helpful, the color palette of the cat looks nice.
